How it works

1. SubmitFill the form for the service you need and attach plans or photos. Takes 5–15 minutes.
2. Calculate / reviewLoad & energy calcs run immediately and a PDF is produced. Reviews and design requests are assigned to an engineer.
3. DeliverThe report or proposal is e-mailed to you and to our office. Reply to the e-mail to ask questions or request revisions.
4. Permit-readyWhen required, calculations are finalized in Florida-approved software and signed by the responsible professional.

About the calculations

Residential calcs follow ACCA Manual J (loads) and Manual S (equipment selection, FBC R403.7.1.1 — total capacity 100–115% of load, latent ≥ latent load) and check the envelope against the Florida Building Code, Energy Conservation, 8th Edition (2023) prescriptive and Total-UA paths. Commercial calcs use the ACCA Manual N / ASHRAE block-load method with ASHRAE 62.1 ventilation and check FBC Chapter C4 (C402 envelope, C403 equipment, C405 lighting). The instant PDF is a preliminary engineering review; permit submittals that require Form R405 / C405 output from Florida Building Commission-approved software or a sealed document are completed by Apice as a follow-up service.
